3 Months Old! ... Already???

yep. It's true. Griffin is 3 months old! He has been such a joy and we can't wait to see what's next. This month, he has really started smiling LOTS and is just beginning to coo more and more in the last few days. He started sleeping through the night (9-10 hours) pretty consistently at the beginning of this month. Yea!

Sorry. Ollee looks AWFUL! We have got to get her to the groomer. We had an appointment a few weeks ago and had to cancel it and we haven't gotten back... Oh well. Anyway, this is about the best I've got of the two of them. Griffin is really starting to watch Ollee run around the house. I think he's gonna like her. :)

And here's a few more pictures...because I can't get enough!

Since the first of the year....

This is what we've been up to since January started: Smiling!!

Griffin has also been sleeeping....9-10 hours a night! We are so thankful!!

and more smiling:

He likes to play airplane with me. This is the view I get! So cute!!

And I snapped this picture right before we left for church a few Sundays ago. I love it!!

And some tummy time:

My baby"s growing up!!

These are just some pictures of my Griffin during the time he was just over 2 months old... right before Christmas. He looks so small on our big bed!!

He's finally starting to like bathtime!

And I just think this is cute. I remember. This is the day after Christmas.
Look at those pinchable cheeks!!

The Other Christmases...and more

We had a Christmas spread after the actual 25th of December this year. We had Christmas at my parents house on the 30th and then my extended family on my mom's side on the 1st. Here's a little "photo journey" of the week after Christmas.

First, here's Griffin in his size 3 month Christmas outfit that I bought at the end of November. This picture was taken after church on December 26th. Can you tell how small it is on him!? We went shopping that afternoon to update him to a size 6 month wardrobe!!

Then on the 28th, I went to IKEA with Chris and some of the youth group kiddos and my mom kept my sweet baby ALL day! She said he did great and I did a lot better than I thought I would, too. I ended up just going to her house that Tuesday afternoon and Griffin and I stayed there until Friday. Here's Griffin on Wednesday hangin' out with Yogi and his beard...

Griffin's cousins were at Yogi and BooBoo's early for Christmas, too. Here's mom and Joey:

Aunt Jodi came Wednesday night:

And here we are on "Christmas" morning. My family has had this tradition since I can remember. We can't see the Christmas tree or presents until every one is awake. Soooo - we gather in the hall and my parents put a blanket over our heads. Then my dad spins us around to make us dizzy. When we are good and dizzy, he rips the blanket off and lets us run to either the stockings or the tree, whatever we decide. It was really fun when we were little and now he does it for the grandkids...AND new family members such as newly engaged future sister-in-laws. Here we are under the blanket, deciding where to go, and Griffin with his stocking spoils:
Then, Griffin and BooBoo got a nap:

On the first of January, we all went to Midlothian to my Aunt and Uncle's home to have a small Christmas with my cousins. The adults to a gift card exchange and everyone had free reign on kiddos to buy them presents. Griffin cleaned up there, too! And so did the other boys:

And here's a picture of all 5 of the boys. (Christian is my oldest cousin, Caleb's, little boy.) I think this picture is funny because you can tell they are not thrilled about having to stop sword fighting to sit down for a picture:

And that's all for Christmas!!

Griffin's First Christmas in Pictures

Like I said on Christmas Eve, Chris's parents were at our house. Griffin slept 8 and a half hours that night (Merry Christmas Mom and Dad!!). I woke up and fed him and he went back to sleep before anyone else was up. This is a picture of my sweet baby sleeping on Christmas morning (before he woke up the second time).
Griffin opened up his stocking with Nana and Papa and then most of his gifts with mommy or daddy.

Griffin got SO MANY gifts... mainly from Chris and me (I went a little overboard, probably. BUT, it was A LOT of books...) Santa didn't do too bad for him, either. The poor little guy fell asleep in the middle of opening gifts. He had eight to go, so we decided to save them and take them to my family Christmas that was going to be on Thursday the 30th of December. Griffin got some Baby Einsteins books and movies from Nana and Papa. Santa gave Griffin a music activity table (for when he's older) and lots of the FP roll-a-rounds balls and toys that go with them.

By the time Griffin woke back up, my parents and brother-in-law Robert had come over. My sister, Jodi (his wife), was one of the heroes working in the Parkland ER on Christmas Day, so Robert came and had lunch with us.

My mom went to get him from the crib and she found him sucking his thumb for the first time!! He hasn't done it again since then, but here are the pics.

We all ate a delicious lunch and then Griffin stole the afternoon away smiling at BooBoo and Uncle Robert. He was just learning how to do this, so it was so sweet for everyone to see.

Overall, Christmas Day was great. Chris and I got in wall surround sound for our living room for Christmas. His parents gave us money to go in on this and we used some of my bonus from work for the rest. AND, my sweet Chris surprised me with diamond stud earrings! I didn't get him anything nearly that nice, mainly just blu-rays for his new surround sound experience. ;)

Here's our happy little family on Christmas!
oh yeah... and Yogi and BooBoo had to get a First Christmas picture, too... I insisted !
