Griffin's Room

I wasn't prepared when Griffin was born.

I know everyone says that, but I really wasn't.  I thought I had another month!  I work best under pressure, so the last month was very important.

And....so Griffin's room wasn't ready for him when he got to come home.  But - it is now.  Well, it has been, but I never did the "let me show you the baby's nursery" pictures that most mom's do when they are about 5 or 6 months along.

So, here they are.  I love it.  I think it is just enough stimulation, just enough calm, very Griffin, very boy, ...I really like it.

Griffin, this is your room from the time you were a little baby until....we'll just see!

The rocking chair was Chris's when he was little; the wall says, "There is more treasure in books than all the loot on Treasure Island - Walt Disney."

The rally towel hanging above the chair was from Aunt Jodi and Uncle Robert when the Rangers were playing the Yankees in 2011 in the playoffs.  The long picture below is a family heirloom.  There will be a close up of it.

The quote under his name says, "You must always be curious - Walt Whitman."

This was given to my mom, who had it hanging up as long as I can remember.  Then, Rachel had it near her rocking chair.  Now, I do.  It says, "Cleaning and scrubbing can wait 'til tomorrow.  For, babies grow up, we learn to our sorrow.  So quiet down cobwebs, dust go to sleep.  I'm rocking my baby, and babies don't keep."  Love it.

My mom and dad got this plate for Griffin when he was born.  It says, "For God so loved Griffin Wayne Robey that He gave His one and only Son, that when Griffin believes in Him, he will not perish, but have Eternal Life."

The Red Sox stuff to the left is from our trip to Boston when Chris turned 30.  We are Rangers fans, but Red Sox are a good back up.  ;)
