18 Months

Happy Half Birthday, Griffin!

Griffin has been so much fun this month!  He is definitely weaning to one nap a day.  The only time he takes two naps is when I have to wake him up early on Monday and Wednesday to go to Aunt Rachel's.  He actually hasn't woken up at 5:30 on his own all month I think!  (knock on wood!)  This month, Griffin has started naming people and people in pictures.  He knows BooBoo, RaRa, Jo Jo, CCcccc (conner), ccccccc (micah), B (bret), Nana, Ppppp ppppp (papa), and some more I'm sure that I'm forgetting.  He understands everything we say - it's crazy.  He's starting to really love to use markers and dot dot.  Loves books - still.  Loves playing in the creek, going to the park, wrestling with daddy, being tickled, choo choo trains... He tries to mimic everything daddy does.  Loves the lawn mower and the kayak.  He's not the best at throwing rocks and balls and other toys we throw, but he sure does try his hardest!  It's so cute!  Griffin has absolutely no fear of any activities.  He picks up bugs, plays in mud, climbs and jumps on anything - but - his IS scared of big furry animals like dogs and goats...  He loves to look at and point at birds and say "du du."  I think it's because I over enunciate the birDUH when I try and teach him.  oh well :)

Griffin is getting better at sharing his toys and actually playing WITH other kids.  He is the sweetest thing, too.  He is finally learning to hug and is all over kissing now.  He'll kiss anyone on the lips, I think!  He loves going shopping with me.  I have to let him push the cart right under me, though.  He does NOT love to ride.

Griffin also seems to like to eat orange rinds.  He throws a fit if I actually peel his cutie.  He wants to hold the entire orange and bite through the peel and calls it a ball...silly boy!

Oh - he's 28 pounds, 33 1/4 inches tall, and wears a size 7 or 8 shoe.  Big boy!

Love you Griffin!

Sorry about the marathon of pictures - I'm getting better about posting more than once a month and hopefully our monthly posts will be shorter!!!

easter 2012

We had a really busy, but fun Easter weekend.  Griffin was SO cute.  Love that little guy.

Thursday, Christ left for LTC.  Friday, Chris's parents came down and stayed with Griffin and me.  I left for LTC Saturday morning and Griffin when Easter egg hunting with Nana and Papa at the church across the street from our house.  They dropped eggs from a helicopter!  Then I came home and we cooked dinner and waited for Chris to get home.  Then...we got up on Easter and went to church and the WHOLE crew came over to my house for Easter lunch and an egg hunt.  There were literally hundreds of eggs for just five blessed little kiddos.   There were 19 of us in all - a lovely Sunday!  The day we celebrate the resurrection of Jesus Christ!  Here are some pics and a little video of Griffin after he was done hunting eggs:

Guys!  Wait for me!!!

Where did all the big boys go???

Love those dirty feet.  He ran around barefoot all afternoon!

Griffin had fun playing peek a boo with Yogi in the chairs.
