12 months

What an angel...

I really can't believe my little guy turned one...almost a month ago now.  What an amazing year this has been.  Griffin has taught Chris and I so much about ourselves, about our personalities, about our relationship, about God....what a miracle.

I'm going to do the line of up the year in my next post.  This post is just for the reflection of September 16 to October 15.  So here are our favorite pic, milestones, and memories:

 23 pounds 1 ounce (50th percentile)

head circumference 18 cm (74th percentile)

31 inches tall (95th percentile!!)

Griffin says Mamamama, Dadadadad, fsh fsh (fish), uh uh uh (uh oh, we think)

Mommy calls Griffin “G” “G Force” “Champ” “Sugar Plum” “Puddin’ Pie” and “Baby”
Daddy calls Griffin “hey man.” ;)

Griffin walking everywhere!  Something clicked at his friend Walt’s birthday party and his few steps became 10-20 steps!

Griffin loves to eat cheese, pears, and SPAGHETTI.  His favorite juice is orange tangerine.

Griffin loves to play peek-a-boo and is really starting to love to play with trucks.  He loves anything with wheels.
Uncle Ira and Aunt Kelley got him this truck for his first birthday.  It was a HIT!

Climbing!  Griffin is climbing the couch at Aunt Rachel’s and walking across it!

Griffin is starting to throw tantrums.  Mommy says “no” and Griffin just laughs....uh oh.  We’ve got trouble. ;)

Griffin knows a few tricks:  he waves, give high fives, and is starting to blow kisses

Griffin still loves to play with his tooth brush....and eat mommy's glasses...AND loves, loves, loves to play underneath the table.  He thinks it's his own private fort.

Griffin is such a sweet natured little guy.  He is so easy to get a smile from and he babbles the sweetest little sounds and squeals.  It makes me soooo happy!

Griffin really understands the processes in the morning of mommy or daddy leaving and he lets us know.  He stands at the back window looking out and cries... it’s the sweetest and saddest thing...

Griffin is so good at playing with Ollee!

Another one of Griffin’s favorite toys is is books.  He LOVES to look at books and to pull them all down from his shelf.

Griffin is so funny when he gets around other babies or his cousins.  He always reaches straight for their faces and wants to touch and tug at them...or pull out someone’s pacifier... :)

Griffin had his first taste of whole milk at the end of this month - and he liked it!

Griffin loves, loves, loves to walk outside.  It’s always so calming and soothing to him.  He also loves to walk up and down steps.  We could do that for an entire afternoon it seems like sometimes!

Griffin still loves to play with cars and trucks.  He makes the motor sound with his mouth and pushes them across the floor.  It’s like he was born knowing how to do it - Chris nor I taught him to do that!

This was not Griffin's Halloween costume this year, but it was mine when I was one!  So sweet.  My mom made it, too.  Right, Mom?  Or was it MeeMaw?

Griffin and his Yogi....

My sweet sleeping naked baby...oh and Mike from Monsters Inc. :)

Griffin, we love you so much!  You have such an easy smile and I know God has answered our prayers for a happy baby and will continue to answer them for a happy and joyful little boy who can spread HIS warmth and joy to others.  We are SO proud of you.  And Baby, as much as I want to cling to every second of your tiny-ness, I can hardly wait to get to know you better as you grow up.  But, grown up or not, you will ALWAYS be my baby.
